Visual-Tactile Panels

Information You Can Also Read With Your Hands

asd

Visual-tactile panels translate visual information into a format that can also be explored through touch. They combine high-contrast graphics, raised images and symbols, large-print black text, and Braille, so that the same surface is readable by sighted, visually impaired, and blind people without the need for separate solutions.

Each panel is the result of a specific study of its context and target audience. We design the layout of the elements, the choice of materials and relief textures, the color contrasts, and the font size in accordance with the principles of Universal Design: the goal is not to add a dedicated aid for a specific user group, but to create a single object that works for everyone.

There are many applications: tactile orientation maps for museums, public buildings, and urban spaces; educational and informational panels; reproductions of artworks and architectural details; signage; and informational trails. In every case, we guide the client from needs analysis through to production and installation, verifying the solution’s effectiveness—including through direct feedback from the people who will use it.
